From 2003-2011, Tedford held the position of Director of Orchestras and Strolling Strings at Williamsport Area High School where he conducted three string orchestras and the Millionaire Strolling Strings. As a member of the Williamsport music staff, Tedford was part of an award-winning faculty which was awarded the NAMM foundation's top 100 schools for music in eight out of nine years. As the orchestra director he conducted three string orchestras daily including 150 string students and directed the Millionaire Strolling Strings, a select group of string players who perform throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Prior to coming to Williamsport, he was a graduate assistant at Carnegie Mellon University and served as the Assistant Conductor for the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh. As the Assistant Conductor, he prepared the chorus for concerts with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Symphony Pops, and other performances in the Pittsburgh area. While in Pittsburgh he had the opportunity to study with world-renowned conductor, Robert Page, and work with several guest conductors of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to his work at Williamsport Area High School, Mr. Tedford has served as the conductor of the Williamsport Symphony Youth Orchestra, violinist with the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra, and as a singer with the Williamsport Chamber Choir and Orchestra and the Susquehanna Chorale in Harrisburg. He also works with music organizations and public schools to promote music education for all students and served on the executive board for the District 8 Pennsylvania Music Educator’s Association (PMEA). His groups have performed at PMEA State Conventions and continue to be in demand for performances at events throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Tedford is currently working on his doctoral degree at Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia.
